First post of the new style and I’m feeling like a hip-hop and R&B kinda day. Two of my favorite rappers right now are Father and Little Simz, out of the Bay Area and London respectively, and they give us our first two tracks “Cheap Thrills” and “Lane Switch”. Then a new cat out of the Netherlands, Noah Jordan, drops some fire on “Mr. China”, Toro y Moi teams up with Rome Fortune on the absolutely beautiful “Pitch Black” and Javon “X” Johnson gives us some NY 90s flow on “?”. Now it’s time to switch gears a little and drop it down to a softer level. Kehlani and Ambré dropped the hella soulful “Preach” last month and it’s been sizzling, MAFFALDA ӔTERNUM out of São Paulo, Brazil flips INOJ’s “Love You Down” on “Fuck Your Feelings, Bro” and SEVDALIZA and Paris Jones round us out with their absolutely chilling tracks “MARILYN MONROE” and “You Like Me”. Peace.
Electronic is the jam today and Shift K3Y starts us off with something I never thought I’d hear again, a new remix of TLC’s “No Scrubs” that’s actually good lol. After that Star Slinger remixes Harrison’s “Your Light” and Geist and Young Blaze absolutely kill it with the club banger “No Panties”. Next up Dallas Cotton flows so sweetly on “Ain’t Nobody Like You” featuring Josh Pan, AM & Shawn Lee drop one of the catchiest tracks of the summer so far with “Cold Tears” and Ruck P’s “Hands Down” is the kind of song anybody can kick back and listen to with a smile on their face. For some smooth sounds Esta drop some future-soul on “Childish People” featuring Masego and then we have two tracks, “Save My Soul” and “Trapped In Love”, from the amazing emerging artist Daye Jack.

Well it’s Monday so we’re gonna start off with something with a little bounce to help you get over the bullshit. DJ Hoodboi remixes ASTR’s “Activate Me” and absolutely nails that electro/club fusion, Lycus gives us some crazy moomba on “Zimba M” and Trumpet & Badman drop the hella fresh (4 hours on Thump’s Soundcloud) “Only U”. Ethiopian Mikael Seifu starts off the internationals with the crazy future “The Lost Drum Beat”, Ghanian artist Dex Kwasi drops bars with E.L. on “Boom Bye Bye” and DJ Gatsheni chops and screws “Ekhelemendeh” by these dudes Mashayabhuqe KaMamba & OkMalumKoolKat Shandarabaa. Finally it’s that chilled out with Mura Masa’s “Are You There” then two tracks by Russ, a sick artist with a hip-hop/r&b vibe we’re looking forward to seeing a lot more from. Peace.
