Meow The Jewels, K-OS, Verse Simmonds & Future & Drake, DC & Aunjel Adams, 8Er$, Kanye West / GLD, G-Eazy, Problem & Iamsu! & StoneyThaDealer & Bad Lucc & MyGuyMars, Blake Go Wavy, Jared Wesley

Another Monday, another headache lol, I think the only thing that can get me back to normal is the music. It’s a hip-hop kinda day because the new Run The Jewels track “Meowerly” off of the Meow The Jewels album is out and I can’t wait to share it, plus K-OS dropped a total banger this weekend called “Crucify” and we’ve got that new Verse Simmonds track “DNF” with Future and Drake. Next let’s check out DC’s reflective track “They Lynched Me” featuring Aunjel Adams and segue into some bass on 8Er$ minimix of his new EP and GLD’s remix of Kanye’s “Mercy”. Last up we’ve G-Eazy’s hella hype track “You Got Me”, Problem’s newest jam “Waist My Time” featuring damn near half of The Bay, Blake Go Wavy’s 2Pac rework “Ambitionz As A Surfer” and Jared Wesley’s flowing tune “Roll Wit Me / Heartbroken, Pt. 2”. Lates.

Skepta & Drake, Tremah, BECOME. x xylo, MADEINTYO & Tommy Genesis, Ooah & M!NT, Skipper, Lookas, Document One, An-Ten-Nae

Friday’s genre is simply “eclectic”, meaning it’s all of the best tracks that didn’t make it into a playlist during the week, just press play and you’ll discover something new. First up is Skepta’s remix of “Ojuelegba” with Drake, Skepta is a North London artist of Nigerian heritage whose been huge in the grime scene for years, then it’s some deep dnb with Tremah on “Moonlight” and then it’s a track I’ve had almost on repeat since yesterday “Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea” by BECOME. & xylo. Back to the hip-hop on “BIWIA” (you’ll get it when you listen) by Atlanta-via-Tokyo rapper/producer MADEINTYO (Made In Tokyo duh) with Tommy Genesis then Ooah, from The Glitch Mob, and M!NT destroy the awesomely deep and loud jam “If The Smoke Clears” right before Lookas turns it up a few levels on “Apollo”. Bringing it home is An-Ten-Nae’s definitely feel good track “Feeling High”, Skipper makes a statement on “Don’t Change” and Document One drops a monster drum n BASS track to keep the neighbors up all night long. Deuces.

Alessia Cara / Lucian, Headphone Activist, Castro, Mabel, Ëlē & William Bolton, Clarian, The Kite String Tangle x Dustin Tebbutt / Charles Murdoch, Bedrockk, Milosh, Twin Cabins, LÉON, Flyte / Jack Steadman

I’m definitely feeling something a little less crazy after all those party tracks yesterday so let’s explore the lighter side of music today. If you want lighter/melodic then Headphone Activist is always a good place to start and he brings the heat on the throwback “North end Nightlife” which is followed up by Lucian’s smooth bass remix of Alessia Cara’s “Here”. Getting into it Cardiff based artist Castro gives us the awesome “Cobwebs”, Mabel belts out some amazing neo-soul on “Know Me Better”, Ëlē teams up with William Bolton on “Sweet Love” and Clarian drops a filthy new deep house original mix called “Kill For Love”. We continue with Charles Murdoch’s profoundly fresh remix of “Illuminate” by The Kite String Tangle and Dustin Tebbutt, Bedrock has some fun on “Telephone” and Milosh shows us his introspective side on “Hear In You”. Anchoring us out is San Diego group Twin Cabins’ and their new jam “Painfully Obvious”, LÉON continue to give us nothing but the best on “Tired Of Talking” and Jack Steadman’s beautifully melodic remix of Flyte’s “Closer Together” is the perfect way to sign off. Peace.

Antwon, Jayceeoh & Redman & Jay Psar, Flip Major & Audio Push, Stratus x Milk N Cooks, Chris Porter & Pitbull, Smutlee & Serocee, Travis Scott, Kaskade / Louis The Child, Tincup x Quix x G-Rex x King Tutt / GAWTBASS, Claude VonStroke Vs JAW / Will Clarke

It’s hump day and I think a party mix is in order to help keep you crunk for the rest of the week. First up is Antwon’s slapper “Baby Hair” then Jayceeyoh grabs Redman and Jay Psar for “Turn Me Up Some” and Flip Major kills it on “Deep End” with Audio Push. Next Stratus and Milk N Cookies get you lit on “Stay Up”, Chris Porter and Pitbull will get you doing the “Water Dance”, Smutlee & Serocee drop that dancehall steez on “I Luv You” and Travis Scott has the “Antidote”. Rounding out the mix is Louis The Child’s remix of Kaskade’s “Never Sleep Alone”, GAWTBASS’ murderous edit of “Rainy Day” by so many cats I’m not even going to bother retyping all their names and Will Clarke remixes “Never Forever” by Claude VonStroke and JAW. Peace.
