Those Damn Kidz give you a couple mixtapes per week of the best new hip-hop & grime, chill alt-RnB cuts, afro-beats, house music & electro, international artists and all sorts of other heat from The Diaspora and beyond. We’re all about the dopest new tracks as well as older, undiscovered gems and we basically guarantee you’ll discover new artists every mixtape you listen to.

Before designing this site we asked ourselves one question: “What’s necessary for a great music site and what isn’t?”. It turns out that other than good music and an easy way to access it, not much. Just click on a mixtape to play it in your Spotify app.

At Those Damn Kidz it’s as easy as clicking on a mixtape and just listening to great music for the next hour. Mixtapes can be played directly from the homepage or easily opened in your Spotify app. Our biggest change from most current music sites is the post format. Rather than write about one song at a time all day long each post contains a curated mixtape of the best new and not-so-new tracks from a rotating series of genres. This guarantees that you won’t be stuck listening to only the most popular artists and genres, single track by single track, that are repeatedly posted by all of the other music blogs out there. This literally means tracks on tracks on tracks for you in a simple and smooth design that promotes access to musical genres you may not normally listen to and artists you wouldn’t normally hear about. There are no giant photos or logos before posts and no second or third columns filled with ads for crap you don’t want and links to sites you don’t give a shit about. Just the music over here.
