CyHi The Prynce, TroyBoi & Father Dude, Far Lands, PREP, GABRL, KANT, AmatrArt, Classixx, Ukweli & Ibeyi, Skip Marley / Ricky Mears

Today’s Playlist: A little bit of everything.

In case you don’t pay attention to the wide world of music, CyHi The Prynce went in on Kanye and Pusha T yesterday on his new track “Elephant In The Room”, it’s dope as fuck. TroyBoi & Father Dude show us a little more range to their style on “Spirits Of The Night” and Far Lands release the beautiful track “Transitions”. London group PREP drop their very first track “Cheapest Flight” and if this is the first I’m juiced for more, GABRL just became one of my new rappers-to-watch with “Who”, KANT makes a “Nightcall” and AmatrArt show us something completely different with “Souls”. Then Classix blasts off on the ethereal “wiw-16tp”, Ikweli & Ibeyi GO IN on that ‘Swahili Trap’ style with “Bejila” and Ricky Mears remixes Skip Marley’s “Cry To Me” to bring us home. Peace.

A new favorite group of mine, Tongues, introduce “Religion”, GAHM hits it hard on “50” with Slug Christ and LuiDiamonds, Quinn shows us the best kind of pop with “Wounds” and Escort does the same on “Animal Nature”. Rockin us out is the silky and sweet “Amigo” by LA duo Bixel Boys and the EveryNite edition of Tom Misch’s “Home”. Deuces.

Bag Raiders, Oh Wonder, Whiiite & Vaski & Tribes, Kongas, Small Black, Missy Elliot + Erykah Badu / Duncan Gerow, Russ P, Jared Wesley, Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment ft. Chance The Rapper & King Louie & Quavo, DJ Comrade

TODAY’S PLAYLIST: Pop, Smooth Sounds & Hip-Hop

As I’ve said before this website is all about discovering new music and new genress of music you wouldn’t normally listen to, so in order to promote that philosophy I change the order of my playlists around so that not just the most popular genres like electronic and hip-hop are featured. So first up is some pop starting with “Waterfalls” by Bag Raiders, TDK favorite Oh Wonder’s “Drive” and Whiiite & Vaski drop some bass-pop on “Shelter”. Next we get a little funky on the E-edit of Kongas’ “Why Can’t We Live Together”, new cat Small Black gives us “Boys Life” and Duncan Gerow releases an absolutely amazing mashup of Missy Elliot and Erykah Badu called “Sock It To Me”. Now finally we’re on to the hip-hop with Russ P’s “Watching”, Jared Wesley reveals his mind on “Limbo (The Decision)”, Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment team up with half of Chicago on “Familiar” and in the end the Brazilian DJ Comrade blows you away with “Agita Galerão”. Peace.
